3Shape was started by two ambitious graduate students, then in their 20's, and the story of its rapid growth into a global leader in its field has led many to refer to 3Shape as "The Google of the CAD/CAM Industry." Beginning as a digital solution provider for the hearing aid industry, 3Shape later transited its expertise into other areas that needed 3D techniques and digitalized workflows. Today 3Shape is a world leader providing digital solutions for dental, orthodontics, hearing instruments, footwear, and quality control applications.
3Shape is a privately-held company headquartered in Copenhagen, with the market's largest team wholly dedicated to scanner and software development for the dental segment based in Denmark and Ukraine, production facilities in Poland, and Sales and Support Offices in New Jersey, USA and Shanghai, China.
