Essential Functions (Responsibilities):

Align & Implement Regional / Global sourcing strategies for the projects executed from the Insource Centre for Flow Management & Rotating Equipment categories

· Lead Regional Category efforts for Rotating Equipment and Flow Management

· Coordinate with the Global Category teams to align sourcing category strategy for the reginal projects

· Validate the strategy as it applies to the regional businesses (projects, products, CMS and Services) reasonable estimates of the potential impact of the strategy

· Drive achievement of the Category goals, engage BCC (Best cost county) supplier resource for the business win, track and report progress toward the goals.

· Drive regional business activities towards 100% compliance with the Regional/ Global Category strategy, by influencing the respective Regional Sourcing, Projects, Engineering and Commercial teams. Coordinate supplier design value added programs to improve margin contribution to the business.

· Discuss and agree supplier negotiation ownership & priorities with the Global Category Managers. Develop should Cost / Cost module for impactful and critical items

· Coordinate / Support Regional / Global Category managers to address issues with key category suppliers related to Regional business

· Support Global category team to improve Quality, Delivery and Cost position of regional / global suppliers

· Lead periodic connect with strategic suppliers i.e. technical meetings, trainings, new product presentation, product selection, etc

Project ITO/ OTR Support

· Support Regional Project Estimators during proposals, coordinate with regional/ global category team and leverage Material Cost Database to drive business wins

· Drive standardization in product selection and ensure implementation of laid down sourcing processes

· Align with the global/ regional category strategies and promote strategic suppliers, coordinating their early involvement in project opportunities, support developing costing database, where appropriate

· Support Sourcing Project Leader in the successful execution of the ongoing projects

· Support driving Value Engineering / Game changer technologies in collaboration with the strategic suppliers.

Qualifications/Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Engineering degree from an accredited university or college

· A minimum of 8 years of work experience in related industry, experience in managing valves, piping systems or pumps as an engineer, product leader or testing expert

· Strong technical knowledge especially related to Rotating Equipment/ Flow Management

· Minimum 5 Years Sourcing/Supplier management related experience

· Ability to travel up to 30% of the time

· Strategic thinker/planner

· Strong oral and written communication skills

· Strong Quantitative and Analytical Skills

· Strong team player

· Effectively handling global and regional stakeholders

Desired Characteristics

· Mechanical engineering Degree with postgraduation

· Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation and facilitation skills

· Ability to cope with multiple complex situations daily

· Knowledge of the SWTS business operations and systems
