Key Responsibility:
As a key contributor in our global Product Development team, you will work directly with the VICTORINOX Merchandising Manager and Senior Merchandiser as well as our USA and Swiss VICTORINOX
Product Development teams to support development of product lines focused on, but not limited to the VICTORINOX Brand. Your primary focus will be to assist the Merchandising Manager and Senior Merchandiser in all supplier and program management activities in order to drive quality, productivity, and growth for VICTORINOX TRAVEL GEAR’s brands.

The position will report directly to the Merchandising Director. The position will also have very close collaboration with the Technical Service, Quality, and Testing staff in Asia.

Major scope of duties:
? Core responsibilities are intended to be, but not limited to, the development of soft bags, business cases, and other accessories. This role will require strong collaboration with the VICTORINOX Merchandising Manager and Senior Merchandiser.
? Asia office is located in Dongguan, China and most supply chain partners for focus brands (VICTORINOX) are located in China. However, further development into other Asian countries is likely. Hence, presence in the regions of focus may be required for 20+% of your time in order to support development and manufacturing. Clearance of your time schedule via the GM is ultimately required on a regular basis.
? Direct responsibility for assisting in the development of all assigned Product Development programs to VICTORINOX TRAVEL GEAR’s Asia Supply Base.
o Assisting the Merchandising Manager and Senior Merchandiser in development and management of any launch timelines. This will also include managing key dates at Asia supplier within this timeline process to ensure proper launch schedules. This will include such aspects as:
？ Tooling manufacture dates
？ Material approval deadlines
？ Hardware/Component approval deadlines
？ Material/Hardware/Component ordering deadlines in relation to Forecasts
o Assisting sample reviews and pilot production reviews of new products.
? Working with suppliers on project lead times to ensure on time launch of collection(s).
? Assist Merchandising Manager and Senior Merchandiser with development, maintenance, and presentation of a regular summary report of all projects.
? Facilitate the receipt, review, and management of samples into VICTORINOX TRAVEL GEAR Asia’s test lab during product development and pilot run stages to ensure that the final product can meet VICTORINOX TRAVEL GEAR requirements prior to collection launch.
? Assist Merchandising Manager and Senior Merchandiser with pricing analyses through the development and lifecycle of the collection.
? Manage packaging development to ensure timing and consistency.
? Regular and professional communication of projects with your team.
? Work directly with supply chain for meeting setup, audits, sampling, and other VICTORINOX TRAVEL GEAR requirements.
? Additional sourcing and management responsibilities as designated by GM
Build and develop core competencies with Asia suppliers to safeguard intellectual property and ensure global regulatory compliance. Create and develop Supply Chain processes and structures that create competitive advantages for VICTORINOX TRAVEL GEAR.

Requirements:
? BA/BS in Business or related field.
? 5+ years experience in a cut-and-sew manufacturing industry.
? Direct experience with shop floor and/or factory manufacturing skills.
? Excellent oral and written English communication skills to be conducive with communicating in a global corporate environment.
? Position will be located at our DongGuan office.
? Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point) and Adobe Illustrator.
? Experience with project and meeting facilitation.
? Travel within China (& Asia) is 20+%.
? Ability to work with autonomy is important.
? Ability to work in a culturally dynamic industry and work environment.
? Demonstrated technical competence in global business environment..
? Proven technical knowledge in related products, processes, or commodities … direct industry experience is a plus.
