Responsibilities:
- Design 4s engines components (3D models, drawings, feasibility studies) and produce technical specifications according to defined targets, time schedule:
- Ensure drawings and documents are following general international standards and Wärtsilä guidelines
- Implementing DFMA&S (Design for Manufacturing, Assembly & Service) concepts
- Implementing cost efficiency and maintenance criteria
- Ensuring benchmarking of alternative design solutions

- Create D-messages and ensure all relevant information regarding new design and/or design changes are included for relevant parties (WSM, production, service)
- Participate in product care activities, when required
- Participate to the projects managed in the department
- Provide technical support to other departments and JV Production Support Offices when requested
- Take over the job assignment from her/his superior with full responsibility, reporting status, issues and highlighting criticalities.
- Closely cooperate with other Departments and stakeholders (PME, R&D, etc.) for the successful competition of the work.



QUALIFICATIONS

Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of I-DEAS, NX and Teamcenter is seen as an advantage.
- Team working skills and ability to work with open mind in multicultural environment.
- Proactive attitude and ability to learn quickly
- Problem solving, decision making
- Good command of English language, both written and spoken.
- Systematic and structured way of working
- Flexible and able to bear the possible stress of sudden requests and changes in the scope of the projects.



Education:
Bachelor's degree or Master of Science (Mechanical, Marine or Industrial Engineering is preferred.)


Experience:
At least 3 years working experience in mechanical engineering
