Responsibilities include:
? Responsible for mechanical & hydraulic product / system design per marketing or customer specifications.
? Support and improve hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders design.
? Support and improve hydraulic applications and control systems.
? Preparation of documented design inputs
? Design for Manufacturing and Assembly. Create detailed mechanical designs / layouts using 3D computer modeling skills.
? Complete highly innovative or complex projects with little to no guidance. Lead the use of tools to foster creative thought and problem solving techniques
? Review of design inputs and the engineering review of drawings
? Preparation and review of equipment and material specifications
? Evaluation and implementation of new technologies.
? Lead and supervise contract engineers.
? Bid evaluations including calculations to support economic evaluations and interface with vendors
? Establish mechanical and / or hydraulic test cases.
? Support and update legacy products as well as support new product development efforts.
? Implementation of continuous improvement and cost saving projects.
? Statistical analyses, mathematical modeling, testing and data analysis
? Establish a global mechanical standard for Asia, Europe & North America (Design, Manufacturing, Quality test criteria, etc..)
? Preparation of reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements
? Perform root cause analysis, and validate corrective actions, documenting failure Reports
? Providing mechanical / hydraulic advice, support and troubleshooting to the manufacturing process and capital projects.
? Ensure that project budgets and schedules are achieved
? Ability to manage multiple projects and meet project deadlines

ISO 9000 Implementation
SPX Hydraulic Technologies engineers are responsible for supporting the development of an ISO 9001-compliant Quality Management System.
Requires:

? BSME/MSME and/or hydraulic engineering.
? 5-7 years engineering work in designing and testing mechanical, hydraulic and or pneumatic systems.
? 5 years of experience in project engineering.
? Good Mechanical Aptitude and creative "out of the box" thinker.
? Proven professional qualities including strong initiative, integrity, composure, maturity and the desire / ability to work in a team environment.
? Project management experience. Ability to provide leadership and accountability
? Practical and theoretical understanding of statics and dynamics.
? Strong analytical, problem solving, and process improvement skills
? Absolute knowledge of accepted mechanical engineering practices and techniques across the entire product and engineering life cycle
? Proven component and machine design experience (hydraulic products preferred)
? Experience on FMEA, FEA analysis, FTA, FHA, process improvement, development, and test cases.
? Familiar with and structural analysis software, such as COSMOS.
? Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing, International standards.
? Must be able to read Engineering drawings and interpret its requirements
? Experience with a wide variety of materials and manufacturing processes
? Strong 3D modeling skills (SolidWorks preferred). AutoCad, PDM experience a plus.
? Must be proficient in spoken and written English with strong verbal and written communication skills
? Hands-on machining skills and experience a plus
? ISO and lean manufacturing experience preferred
