As Technical Service & Development Specialist for Olin/Blue Cube Epoxy Asia Pacific team, the incumbent will work closely with marketing and sales to provide technical services for the epoxy customers, mainly in composite application area. The services include addressing the customers' inquiries, resolving product and processing problems, and conducting training for customers and sales personnel. In addition, the TSD specialist needs to fulfill unmet needs and growth opportunities in market through implementing existing and developing new technical solutions. Along with the technical support and execution of development projects, there's a need for customer engagement and relationship building. The specialist will work with the respective sales manager as part of the account team, the regional technology leader, R&D colleagues globally and reports into the AP Epoxy TS&D Leader.

Primary Responsibilities:

Lives the safety standards, code of conduct and ethics principles of the company and ensures development work being carried out using the highest standards using the Scientific method.
Provides direct technical support at key customers in the value chain.
Understands key partners’ needs, capabilities and strategies to leverage Olin/Blue Cube Epoxy developments enabling new business.
Executes internal developments in the area of formulation design based on chemical and material science understanding.
Develops and implements new solutions for new applications.
Aligns to Market Management Strategy as required and communicates back into Market Management Team findings in the market.
Interfaces with Marketing to implement optimum product positioning at customers.
Writes internal and external technical papers and represents Olin/Blue Cube at the relevant external conferences and exhibitions.

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree or PhD required in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Material Science
5 years of experience, or a PhD in Chemistry with 2 years of experience in epoxy industry are required, composite industry experience is preferred
Experience in technical project management and leadership skills to drive projects
Customer orientation attitude
Good team player
Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with people from different backgrounds
Develops ambiguously knowledge and experience in the assigned technology / application space
Able to build key external industry relationships and develop understanding on critical performance requirements
Multi-language capability is a must – English at professional level
Flexibility to travel within AP region up to 50% 举报 分享
