JOB RESPONSIBILTIES:

1.Coordination of the technical service activities by working together with customers and/or Eckart Sales personnel on a continuous basis personally as well as through technical service personnel and the support of product development chemists.
2.Supervision and performing of technical service work for all graphic arts related products, including, metallic pigments, dispersions, and other/new products for the special effect market.
3.The function requires a strong interaction with Business line manager, Sales Managers, and the Field Technical Services.
4.Assume responsibility for prioritizing all incoming projects. Incoming projects can come from customers directly or from sales manager/agents. This is done in accordance with the technical service guidelines. Priorities are reviewed with the Head of Technical on a weekly basis.
5.Maintaining a running log on a public drive containing information relative to all projects that is easily accessible to the appropriate people (Business Line Manager, Head of Technical, Sales Manager, etc.)
6.The position acts as a group leader in coordinating with technical service Chemists/Specialists and QC technicians for manufactured and resale products.
7.Communication with the Development group with suggestions for new products, repetitive product problems, and feedback from the market.
8.Develop and Maintain a regular and comprehensive communication pattern with the Head of technical (meetings and monthly summary reports).
9.Other duties may be assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

1.Bachelor degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or related Fields, MS degree is a plus.
2.3-5 years supervisory experience in Ink/Graphic Arts manufacturing environment.
3.Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese/Mandarin.
4.Must exhibit initiative, team spirit, customer-oriented and have good interpersonal skills.
5.Proven ability to manage professional-level employees.
6.Demonstrate leadership skills across functions, focused in laboratory management.
7.Proven ability to develop and implement complex projects, ink/coating formulation, etc.
8.Ability to perform all duties necessary in an industrial setting.
9.Limited travel to customers and Trade Shows is required.
