Job responsibility:

Process Ownership (Subject Matter Expert for assigned product lines)

• Lead site process optimization

• Lead site MOC and PSM work

• Identify best practices, benchmark against them, and implement improvement strategies

• Prepare and maintain process specifications

• Find creative ways to reduce costs, justify and drive their implementation

• Apply and encourage use of Lean & 6-sigma principles to improve process capability

• Drive the disciplined use of problem solving tools to determine the root cause of problems and implement effective corrective and preventive solutions

• Promote communication between plants and regions to share process knowledge

   

New Process Design & Scale-Up

• Drive the transition of new developmental products from R&D/PT via. Issuing batch sheet and describe the process for DCS programing

• Use innovation to identify alternative approaches to manufacturing and evaluate economics of each

• Develop process flow sheets and engineering flow diagrams; specify equipment sizing, design, and specifications; and perform cost estimations and conduct economic analyses

   

Support Business, Platform Launch, EHS&S, Procurement, Technology and Operations

• Support raw material localization with PT

• Collaborate with PT to provide process engineering support for project development and project start-up

Requirement:

• Minimum of B.S. degree in a technical field, preferably Chemical Engineering or Fine Chemicals, major in paper & pulp preferred.
• Minimum of five years experience in Process Technology, Operations.

• Minimum three years plant experience preferred.

• experience in polymers production preferred

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Demonstrated leadership skills including planning and fostering teamwork.

• Ability to understand engineering and chemistry and make sound decisions.

• Results oriented and ability to manage by influence.

• DCS experience preferred
