Requirements:

• Ten or more years experience in Engineering; product development and design.

• Five or more years experience in Engineering team and project management (must)..

• Proven success in innovation/problem solving for new product design and implementation

• Experience in motors, controller, and plastics  will be preferred.(as related to pumps, if possible).

• Success in meeting deadlines, budgets, and product requirements.

• Fluency in spoken and written English a must.

• Hands on experience working with UL or similar electrical agencies.

• Lean, six-sigma training a plus; International work/education experience a plus

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical Engineering.  Masters degree is a plus.

• Excellent interpersonal, team and communication skills.

• Must be able to travel up to 25% of time per business requirement. 

Job Description:

• Manage department’s project goals, plans, timelines, budgets, team members, and resources from new product concept through production implementation to ensure goals are achieved on time and within budget.
• Work closely with design Engineers to direct, review and approve product design and revisions.
• Develop and improve Engineering strategy, policies, procedures and practices.
• Evaluate and direct application of new and existing technologies.
• Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Finance, Procurement, and Quality functions to ensure that projects are optimally completed and implemented. (cross functional coordination both in-site and cross-site.)
• Dotted line reporting to C.O.O. (Global) too.
• Responsible for Design Engineering, Sustaining Engineering, and Engineering Test Lab.
• Responsible for Engineering staff hiring, development, resource management, evaluation and competency.
• Time management: 80% or more managing engineers – providing guidance and direction on technical/design matters and project management; long-term development plans for employees; 20% - Strategic planning; researching new technologies, designs, etc.; self-development.
