This is a leadership role for Test and Validation Department in China, responsible for defining overall test strategy, implementing and managing validation activities in a safe manner using safe work practices and achieving project milestones.

The ideal candidate should be passionate about development and implementation of testing and validation strategy, tools and technologies needed to support new product development and R&D initiatives, and understanding customer requirements.

 

This Validation Department provides a testing and validation service independent to that of the engineers who design and implement the products, and is an integral part of the Product Development Organization in China.

Main Responsibilities:

Planning

?Write the detailed validation plan including test phases and test specification based on both Dometic validation and customer requirements 

? Work in parallel with the project team; contribute to correct the design in order to meet product performance.

? Focus on “early validation”, e.g. specific tests of sub-assemblies to early identify weak points in the construction

? Manage the configuration and logistics of tested parts and products

? Lead validation FMEA generation for assigned project

?Build an experience base together with product development and quality based on field returns, quality data, customer input to ensure that “lesson learned” are carried between different projects

? Develop our test capacity further in particular towards automation of testing

? Suggest new and modern methods for evaluation, e.g. statistical test planning

Manage

? Manage the planning inside the laboratory and allocated resources (technicians, tools, …)

? Project test scheduling

? Responsible for obtaining the specific tools needed for the validation

?Responsible for quarterly or annual calibration of certain tools and equipment as prescribed by certification accreditation bodies

? Manage the cost of the validation activities

? Provide decision material for “make or buy” for testing, i.e. decide if a test should be performed in-house or outsourced, including if tests should be performed in our regions or in the factory.

?Closely follow product tests made in the regions (if deemed necessary) to ensure that those are planned and executed in a proper way.

Test Execution

? Carry out all work to comply with Quality Management System, DPDP process, standards, etc.

? Develop test environment solutions 

? Governance of test setup and verification of test platforms supported by Lab Operation Technicians
