JOB DESCRIPTION fOR Sourcing BUYER Specialist
OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB
Identify, research, and evaluate suppliers that meet the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply. Responsible for procuring materials, components and equipment for Prototype, Pilot and Early Production activities. This person is responsible to insure all material is available for new product introduction (NPI) for assigned an assigned product or family of products.
To get the proper inventory level for cost savings
To reduce idle time due to material shortages
RESPONSIBILITY
1. Identify, research, and evaluate suppliers that meet the organization's standard.
2. Make sure healthy materials inventory management,improve the inventory turns rate
3. Reduce the materials shortage even to 0 to make sure the production smooth run
4. Cooperate with QA to make sure our vendor's materials quality can meet our request
5. Reduce the obsolete and slow moving materials to save the materials cost
6. Keep good relationship with all suppliers to make sure the materials supply
AUTHORITY
1. To access the information and resource which the job needed
2. suggest vendors to commodity managers for sourcing
QUALIFICATION
1. Be familiar with Oracle system
2. Good communication with all relevant people internal and external.
3. Problem solving skill
4. Logical and systematical thinking skill
5. Understanding the terms of international trade terms and banking documents.
6. Knowledge of component management
7. Work under high pressure
8. Drive for continuous improvement for all process
9. Strong sense of responsibility and honesty.
10. Must have at least 3 years of experience in purchasing activities
11. Medium English level
