Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have the demonstrated ability to complete complex tasks on schedule while delivering quality output with a minimum amount of supervision. The ability to function well in a fast-paced, technically challenging, multi disciplinary environment is a must.
A demonstrated ability in moving tasks through concept to design to successful implementation is required as is the ability to document procedures and methods.
Responsibilities may include analog circuit design, digital circuit design, power subsystem design, and firmware development.
The demonstrated ability to work with suppliers to define specifications and to troubleshoot issues is required.
Position Requirements:
· B.S. or M.S. in the field of Electrical Engineering or the equivalent is preferred.
· Experience with analog/digital/power/AC power circuit design.
· Experience with schematic capture, simulation and visualization tools (PSpice, OrCad, Xilinx, Altera, Synplicity) .
· Experience using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc).
· Some experience with C/C++ and Windows programming environments.
· Experience with Matlab or equivalent mathematical analysis package.
· Knowledge of optics, electro-optics, and lasers.
· Experience with basic controls theory is preferred.
· Experience with DSP/FPGA design is preferred.
· Experience with electromechanical design is preferred.
· Ability to travel to customer sites sometimes on short notice in support of ESI system installations.
