job_description_responsibilities: Developing and improving Supplier Performance by utilizing the 8D process, working with customer,sourcing team and supplier to indentify the root cause of the quality problems, set up corrective action plan and follow up supplier' actions. Measuring supplier performance, and identifying continuous improvement initiatives. Manage and develop suppliers to support the goals and objectives of Global Purchasing

required_skills_qualifications: The position requires an engineering or manufacturing background plus familiarity with manufacturing processes used to produce components and assemblies for HEX/WHEX Products. Knowledge of shop operations and maintenance procedures is required. The position requires a bachelor’s degree – or equivalent experience, preferably in engineering. Solid ability to use and demonstrate statistical and problem solving tools is required. A minimum two years of job-related experience or the equivalent education is required. Good human relations skills are required to develop a cooperative working relationship with others inside and outside of Caterpillar.
