This position provides leadership and direction to employees involved in Inventory Record Accuracy activities, and ensures that robust root cause corrective actions are taken to address issues causing inventory record inaccuracies.

This position translates work instructions to IRA Team Members, and supports their work on a tactical, day-to-day basis. The incumbent plans, initiates, and maintains an IRA management process aligned with CPS Supply Chain Processes.

Incumbent prepares inventory counter packets, and delivers them to counters. Supports correct counting by ensuring packets are accurate and counts are performed on the correct part numbers and locations. In addition, this position audits inventory counts, and ensures records are reconciled and synchronized correctly in inventory systems.

Supports and coaches IRA Team Members to perform counts and reconciliation / synchronization work to support facility IRA goals. This position works closely with counters and reconcilers/synchronizers to perform root cause analysis on inventory record inaccuracies, and develop corrective actions to improve the overall inventory accuracy at a plant. The incumbent supports IRA efforts by leading efforts to perform Root Cause Corrective Action.

Root cause corrective action may involve working with key personnel across the business unit organization in a collaborative way to perform creative problem solving and provide accurate reporting to key stakeholders in the organization.

Provides inventory record accuracy expertise to Six Sigma projects and Lean Events as required. The IRA Team Lead works closely with supply chain leaders and governing committees to reduce and eliminate common causes for record inaccuracy.

· Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, organization and communication skills
· Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures
· General product knowledge

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
· General knowledge of material flow, distribution and manufacturing operations.
· College or university degree related to Supply Chain is required.
· Extensive knowledge of inventory systems including MRP, MTS and the JD System.
Experience in Material Planning, Logistics and / or Operations is desired.
