Summary

Align Technology is the industry leader and innovator in medical devices which focuses on revolutionizing the dental and orthodontic industry. Align Technology is looking for a Sr. Java Developer as part of the growing web development team in China. • Write clean, maintainable and fully tested Java code (preferably Java 8 and higher).
• Integrate the application with the other web services.
• Ensure software development principles, standards, and best practices are followed for each project.
• Maintenance of existing websites and provide support of critical production issues.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, reviews, design sessions and architectural discussion.
• Work with product team and other development teams to develop user stories and propose high-quality user experience solutions for web and mobile web applications.
• Review and analyse system specifications
• Work with tertiary groups such as Security, Architecture, IT Operations, and QA to ensure quality design, delivery, and adherence to corporate standards.

• Solid understanding of agile development principles, careful attention to detail, as well as ability to design solutions for multiple product requirements.
• High level of technical aptitude and ability to learn new technical systems and tools quickly.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience in software development.
• 5+ years of experience developing large-scale Java applications.
• 3+ years of experience with full stack development
• Knowledge of Struts and Spring frameworks.
• Experience in developing RESTful API’s and/or Micro Services with Spring boot technology stack
• Experience in Relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience in front-end development framework: HTML5, CSS and JavaScript.
• Experience in Java testing framework.
• Experience with popular JavaScript libraries/rendering engines like Angular, React JS or VueJS.
• Experience with Git.
• Experience with building pipelines using Bamboo, Jenkins, and/or ansible.
• Experience in Relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience in Linux and/or Unix OS.
• Experience with AWS and Heroku.
• Experience in developing software in Agile methodology.
• Excellent communication skills.
