Sr. MCU Application Firmware Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop Reference designs and Application Notes base on Atmel MCU products.

· Involved in technical support operations, helping customers in resolving (design & implementation) issues, interfacing with customers & internal departments regarding the status and resolution of open issues. Provide feedback to internal groups on improvements in hardware, software, tools and documentation.

· Assist key customers in designing, developing & troubleshooting embedded projects/applications, create supporting documentation and preparing technical information for customers.

· Develop & impart technical trainings to customers and field engineers.

Mandatory Skills

• Have a proven development experience by C language on embedded systems base on ARM MCU.
• Knowledge on various interfaces such as I2C, I2S, SPI, UART, USB, EBI, etc.
• Have knowledge of one or more communication protocols/stack (Such as USB, TCP/IP, CAN Bus etc.)
• Familiar with embedded RTOS theory.
• Ability to work using Oscilloscope, Logic analyzer, IDE & debug with JTAG based interface.
• Communication fluently in English, either oral or written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

· Experience in designing driver and application under RTOS, such as FreeRTOS, uCos-II, linux, Android, etc.

· Experiences in wireless protocols, such ZigBee, WiFi, BLE, etc.

· Experiences on Atmel’s Microcontrollers/Processors & Capacitive Touch Technology will be an added advantage

· Experiences on C++, Java, Python programming and debugging.

· Knowledge on Hardware (Circuit Schematic, PCB) design is highly desirable.

Education

Bachelor or Master Degree of Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

Experience

· 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development.

· 2+ years of experience in an US or Europe based company.
