BASIC JOB FUNCTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Assist engineers with the development of 3D CAD, Pro E models, drawings bills of materials and other documentation necessary for the release and implementation of new designs and changes.
-Provide design support through multiple innovative, conceptual designs (sketches) in early development phases to complete 3D models and 2D drawings at production phase. This support includes:
o Detailed tolerance stack-ups
o Recommendations for materials selection
o Providing designs for various manufacturing processes such as screw machines, CNC's, EDM.
o Execute successful data transfers both internally and externally (IGES, DXF, etc )
o Participating in suppler meetings and design reviews
o Procuring rapid prototypes
o Maintenance of drawing files (design history) and change management.
o Establish BOM and ECN structuring
o Working from concept sketches and making suggestions to improve quality or reducing costs
-This person is also expected to review and recommend Pro/E software and hardware improvements, as well as provide the technical community with leadership as related to Pro/E.
- Products include shower head assemblies, kitchen and bath faucet.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Associates degree and or equivalent experience, B.S. in engineering degree preferred.
-Minimum 5 years of product design experience, preferably with consumer durable products, GD&T and tooling experience required of which a minimum four years experience was in product manufacturing environment. Previous knowledge of surfacing desirable.
-Expert in Pro/E and all of its modules including: Details, Assembly, Feature, PDM and Super User.
-Experience with product structures, bills of materials and other documentation used for design/engineering changes and for products introductions.
-Demonstrated the ability to deliver multiple project deliverables including: Tolerance stack-ups, BOMs, drawings, prototypes
-Ability to understand product requirements and provide engineering with multiple options.
-Thorough understanding of overall project (business) deliverables.
-Proven ability to work with minimal supervision including the ability to manage small to moderate-sized projects.
-Proven ability to be self-motivated and drive the product through the development process.
-Good written/reading English, basic oral communication experience is a plus
