Job Summary:
As the new Tyco emerges a key strategic component is recruiting high performing individuals to drive the company’s growth goals. Sourcing & Procurement has been identified as a foundational element of Tyco’s growth strategy. One of the major components of this initiative is the creation of a center-led Global Sourcing & Procurement organization focused on strategic sourcing and tactical procurement. To the drive global strategic sourcing strategy, Tyco is seeking an individual to fill the newly created role of Commodity Manager - Transportation & Fleet, Asia. In this role, the person is responsible for maximizing sourcing leverage across Asia portfolio of Tyco products businesses, service business and functions. This person is responsible to drive Tyco’s Asia Transportation & Fleet sourcing strategy in alignment Logistics & Distribution operations, with a heavy concentration on domestic and international carrier agreement negotiations and supplier management.
Key to the success of this position will be working with Tyco’s businesses and functional leaders in Asia including Great China, Korea, and South East Asia. This person will drive supplier agreements and processes that align directly to Tyco’s business requirements while ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. This individual must demonstrate the ability to manage the entire formal sourcing process from spending analytics through supplier negotiations and agreement implementation. This person will also develop commodity strategies designed to streamline the movement of material, while driving cost efficiencies and savings projects.

Job Responsibilities:
1.Develop and implement a comprehensive Transportation and Fleet sourcing strategy in Asia in alignment with Tyco’s global sourcing strategy and Logistics & Distribution operations.
2.Ensure alignment and collaboration with functional counterparts to maximize Asia sourcing leverage, and transactional efficiency.
3.Facilitates supplier selection and negotiates contracts for key strategic initiatives.
4.Lead cross-functional teams to execute strategic transportation and fleet sourcing projects across Asia including Great China, Korea, and South East Asia.
5.Continuously evaluate Asia Transportation and Fleet strategy and plans to meet changing economic and competitive conditions.
6.Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of transportation and fleet marketplace, and benchmarks industry best practices.
7.Measure and manage the overall performance of Asia supplier network.
8.Identify metrics, tools and processes to optimize sourcing, supplier activities and efficiencies, and work collaboratively with the businesses to prioritize implementation.
9.Develop annual cost-out savings programs and implement business strategies that directly affect financial results and growth plans.
10.Leads internal business process re-engineering for assigned project areas to increase internal productivity and process quality.
11.Conducts business dealings with the highest level of integrity and regard for legal and environmental issues and in compliance with the Company’s Code of Conduct
12.Assume additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

Education:
1.Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; Advanced degree in business or engineering highly desirable
2.8+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous professional progressive management experiences a plus; contract and negotiating experience desirable.

Experience & Skill:
1.Lead and manage RFQ's for all modes of transportation and fleet, including the analysis and negotiation of transportation and fleet contracts. International heavy weight air, ocean contract negotiations and Fleet leasing and purchasing contract negotiation are required.
2.Supervise and administer all transportation and fleet contracts, and approve all transportation contracts and fleet leasing and procurement contracts before final signature.
3.Continually seek out opportunities for improvements and drive analysis to optimize freight costs, fleet cost including leasing and purchasing vehicles, and service excellence through RFQ requirements and performance metrics.
4.Maintain relationships with all core carriers, vehicle leasing companies and sales dealers and foster partnerships with key providers, conducting quarterly meetings with core logistics providers to ensure they are meeting Tyco's outlined service requirements.
5.Maintain and update Tyco's transportation rules tariffs. Tariff includes rates, classifications, rules, accessorial charges, and carrier practices. And maintain and update vehicle leasing and procurement rules in Asia by align with global sourcing teams.
6.Lead and manage RFQ's for all 3rd & 4th party logistics & warehousing providers, and also vehicle leasing companies and sales dealers
7.Working with Tyco L&D and Trade Compliance define and develop Tyco strategies and "deals" for 3PL, 4PL and our International LLPs, Freight Forwarders and solutions providers, vehicle leasing companies and sales dealers in the EX/IM space to drive optimized network solutions including assessment of all make vs. buy opportunities.

Additional Qualifications:
1.Experience in sourcing Transport and Fleet in a global environment.
2.Experience and knowledge working with international trade compliance, international commercial transactions, INCO terms, etc.
3.Demonstrated leadership in a complex and decentralized environment with the ability to communicate ideas to senior leadership.
4.Proven ability to inspire and motivate the entire organization, and define success in terms of the whole team.
5.Strategic consulting skills which move beyond adherence to specific analytical tools and methodologies; the ability to "think outside the box" generate alternative solutions for consideration, and provide comprehensive risk/benefit analysis on those alternatives.
6.Clear ability to influence and lead in driving change in the organization.
7.Ability to translate strategic vision in to tactical plans and manage the change required to execute.
8.Excellent communication, presentation, organizational and interpersonal skills are required.
9.A demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups of people in a matrix organization.
10.Comfort with ambiguity.
