As the Controlling & Planning Team Leader you will provide team leadership to a group of controlling & planning specialists and analysts as well as analytical expertise within one of the process areas as part of the CoE service offerings. You will be reporting to the Controlling & Planning Manager in Business Area – Global Business Services located in Xiamen, China.

- Supporting the development of global / local common processes and driving implementation in own geographical area (country, region or global), performing controlling tasks and activities as well as providing in-depth knowledge within one or multiple processes within own geographical area of the CoE (country, region or global).
- Doing financial planning and analysis (FP&A) – business analytical services to the business, based on customer requirement. Automated tools/ reports designing, implementation and maintenance. Semi-automated and manual analytical services, and one-off (ad-hoc) analytical output. Doing cost accounting in which having overall responsibility for financial cost accounting, including product standard costing, maintenance and absorption analysis and doing special projects within the controlling area.
- Supporting own CoE in implementation of best practices and continuous optimization of controlling and planning processes. Facilitating the exchange of knowledge and best practices within the CoE. Actively participating in process improvement initiatives, regionally and / or globally. Doing internal and external benchmarking and KPI’s (covering services as outlines above).
- Implementing both internal and external benchmarking of controlling and planning CoE. Supporting definition and rollout of key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitoring measurement compliance. Benchmarking to cover both internal ABB group best practices and external references. Besides process design benchmarking, also benchmarking of KPI’s measuring cost efficiency, level of standardization and customer satisfaction.
- Optimizing own performance to increase productivity by developing automated solutions, eliminating duplications, coordinating information requirements. Ensuring processes and controls within own areas of responsibility are designed and implemented in line with Group and business requirements.
- Leading a team of specialists and analysts within own area of responsibility and enhancing the expertise knowledge of the team in one or multiple processes through training, sit-in and coaching.

- A bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting or Business administration.
- Must have 5+ years of relevant experience in financial controlling & planning.
- Must have robust process understanding from the content and technical (IT) perspective.
- Good communication skills and interpersonal skills at all levels both internally and externally, good problem-solving skills, organizational skills and ability to handle certain volumes of process transactions.
- Must have the ability to lead team through change and provide coaching and development of team members, while meeting set deadlines.
- Proficiency in English both spoken and written.
- Proficiency in MS office skills, IT systems like ERP, desktop automation tools and integrated solutions.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end processes, systems and data flows across organizations at business and finance side.
