Responsibilities:

1. Work with Sourcing manager to develop a qualified, low cost, and strategically located supply base to support current and anticipated material requirements, which includes but not limited to:
Initiate and lead sourcing projects with cross-functional team.
¬Select supplier, negotiate price, tooling cost, logistics and contract terms with local and global supplier.
Build supply chain for dedicated project.

2. Work with production engineering personnel to seek new or improved subcontractor, tooling and technologies for the processes and products of the business.

3. Collaborate with quality control, the production, and suppliers to continue improve overall supplier quality, delivery, and service.

4. Establish an aggressive cost reduction target for each commodity and supplier and works in conjunction with the production to assure timely implementation and meet the profit plan objectives

5. Support on set up and apply Purchasing Processes as well as carry out vendor approvals as per the Company requirements for both new and existing suppliers as necessary.

6. Ensure that all relevant processes are completed within ERP and other programmes that help manage the business

7. Build up an ongoing review of supplier performances in terms of on time delivery, quality issues and pricing levels.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree or above, engineering background preferred
2. Over 5 years work experience including at least three years purchasing experience in a manufacturing and international team
3. Good knowledge of technical requirements such as drawings, & legal requirements
4. Excellent value driver analysis and activity based cost calculation
5. Excellent English reading/writing capability is necessary
6. Ability to utilize a variety of computer software packages is also necessary
7. Good communicator, team player, self starter
8. The ability to listen to others is important to the job.
