Position Description
-To ensure that company, in all its operations, adheres to all applicable SOX rules and principles.
-To ensure that the company, in all its operations, adheres to all applicable corporate guidelines and (reporting) requirements.
-To ensure that the company's yearly budgets are both challenging and reachable and that all departments and employees have the appropriate ownership.
-To ensure that the company, in all its operations, works towards meeting the targets as set out in the yearly budgets.
-To ensure that the company's facilities, organization, processes and procedures are functioning in such a way that it enables the company, its departments and employees to reach their targets as efficiently as possible.
-To manage the company's Financial and Operational Departments, with coverage over logistics, inventory, payroll and office/IT administrative areas.
-The process, accurate compilation and submission of the monthly reporting and quarterly business review packages.
-The detailed monthly variance analysis on the operational & financial performance of the company against budget, forecast and previous periods, for both internal purposes and external purposes (corporate and auditors).
-Adhoc operational and financial inquiries and analysis out of own initiative or from internal sources (The Company in China) and external sources (auditors).
-The translation of the findings out of the variance analysis or other inquiries into concrete proposals for adjustments in the company's organization, processes and procedures.
-The implementation of agreed adjustments in the company's organization, processes and procedures.
-Managing the company's Operational and Financial Departments towards their performance targets, including good Inventory Management and procurement.
-The running of the all the company's operations in compliance with applicable general accounting principles, in compliance with SOX entity level & key control principles, and in compliance with applicable Corporate guidelines.
-The accurate and timely company's filings and accruals in relation to Corporate Taxes, Income Tax filing, CPF contributions, GST, etc.
-The preparation of all necessary documentation for the year end audit and the submission and communication with the external auditors
-Ensure the company's filings at the Companies House are updated and correct at all times.
Position Requirements
-5 or more years working experience in retail or similar industry
-5 or more years of leadership experience
-Good business acumen. Ability to collaborate effectively with senior management team.
-Ability to create a high performing team by hiring, developing and motivating highly qualified employees
-Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects
-Bachelor degree in Accounting and Finance
-CPA qualified
-Minimum 3 years auditing experience (preferably BIG 4) and minimum 3 years hands on experience as a Management Accountant or Financial Controller in commercial sector.
-Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills
