MAIN RESPONSIBILITY:
1. Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies.
2. Analyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure.
3. Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency.
4. Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
5. Research supplier market and develop competitive supplier base in line with MGP strategy.
6. Lead the new suppliers assessment and selection.
7. Conduct RFQs, LTA & long term contracts’ negotiation.
8. Lead the source change and localization projects.
9. Implement supplier risk assessment.
10. Cooperate with purchasing, quality and MGP to develop suppliers.
11. Support supply chain optimisation initiatives.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
1. College and above.
2. Preferred technical/Engineer education background; Ability to understand technical data in Mechanics, Metal production and transformation, Rubber/Electric parts will be appreciated.
3. At least 8 years sourcing experience, ideally for technical parts (mechanical, electrical and machines); and at least 3 years’ experience as a sourcing leader in manufacture industry.
4. Fluent written and spoken English.
5. Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management and relevant software.
6. Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement.
7. Strong project management and leadership skills.
8. Good negotiation skill and data analysis ability.
9. Be able to communicate in an efficient way in a multi-cultural environment.
10. Solid judgement with ability to make good decisions.
11. Familiarity with APQP and PPAP.
12. Preferred CPSM holder.
