Main Responsibilities:
1, Work with WWF Qinling team to develop and implement the strategy plan for giant panda landscape conservation in Qinling Mountains with a focus on ecotourism and community work.
2, Develop project annual work plans and budgets.
3, Manage contracted projects and implement consistently monitoring and evaluation.
4, Provide technical assistance to partners.
5, Establish necessary project documentation and database, serving as an information source for WWF family.
6, Provide timely financial and technical reports as required.
7, Assist Qinling communication manager to ensure that a sound communications strategy is in place and participate in communications activities as needed.
8, Maintain and build good partnership with relevant stakeholders in the region.
9, Develop concepts and proposals to raise fund for Qinling giant panda conservation project.
10, Fulfill other project related work required by supervisor.
Qualification:
1, At least Bachelor degree in ecology, tourism management or related, Master preferred.
2, At least 7-year work experience in biodiversity conservation, ecotourism management, community development or related work in China
3, Understanding conservation issues in China
4, Familiar with adaptive management approach
5, Good command of English writing and speaking.
6, Excellent Chinese writing skills
7, Familiar with participatory facilitation
8, Adaptive to frequent field travel
9, Dynamic, creative and outgoing personality and commitment to nature conservation
10, Adheres to WWF’s values, which are Passionate & Optimistic Challenging & Inspiring Credible & Accountable, Persevering & Delivering Results
