职位描述

Responsibilities
? Negotiates pricing and other terms of purchase under supervision.
? Quotes materials; procures materials, components, equipment and services at the lowest cost consistent with consideration of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need.
? Expedites and ensures the timely receipt of materials.
? Selects suppliers from AVL, issues RFQs, analyzes proposals, negotiates price and delivery, issues and/or adjusts purchase orders in a timely manner.
? Assists in evaluating supplier reliability; may participate in the survey / audit of suppliers to maintain adequate working relationship. Follows standard purchasing business processes
? Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels.
? Interfaces with Accounting and Receiving to resolve problems.
? Reviews MRP on a regular basis; executes and cancels pull ins, push outs and planner orders as prioritized.
? Reviews and ensures actions per disposition of ECOs on a world wide basis.
? Maintains inventory levels per plan and performs E&Z analysis. Minimizes excess and zero demand inventory
? Monitors and updates commit dates on shortages reports. Expedites shortages to meet manufacturing need dates.
? Pulls and reads part specifications and engineering drawings.
? May participate in special projects for manager as required.

Job Specific Knowledge
? Requires a general understanding of supply chain management, competitive analysis, cost analysis, cost avoidance and reduction, negotiation, commodity knowledge, information systems / commerce, and procure to invoice.
? Will become familiar with the supplier's business and processes; and work towards developing an understanding of the technical aspects of the products.
Skills
? Requires good skills in change management, problem solving, communication, customer orientation, global business perspective, personal effectiveness, project management, team skills and quality.
? Requires demonstrated ability in Lotus Notes, MS Word, Excel, PDM.
? Requires ability to use Oracle P/C Planner, Oracle Buyer, Oracle Inventory Control, Oracle BOM and Oracle ECO.

Requirements
? B.A./B.S. level degree or equivalent in business, purchasing/materials, supply chain management or related discipline.
