MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leading a team of professionals in Purchasing to provide a consistent and cost efficient global supply chain model;
- Being responsible for material purchasing and allocations, leading risk mitigation efforts to ensure uninterrupted supply;
- Monitor inventory to reduce the potential for obsolete;
- Leveraging data and metrics to provide up to date information for decision making to customers both internal and external to the company;
- Manages consignment program appropriately to avoid the liability issue, and comply with Customs regulations, reconcile inventory and accounts payable discrepancies;
- Assists internal customers in defining requirements, researching alternative sources and assessing financial health of suppliers;
- Work with local and global commodity managers and buyers to drive cost reduction;
-I dentify cost effective and sustaining manufacturing improvements, minimize regular expenditures, and help to promote a cost conscious culture;
- Coordinate the qualification of new or modified products and services by assisting customer groups with identifying alternate sources focusing on quality, delivery, and total cost as the drivers;
- Develop and maintain industry contacts internal and external to the company to identify industry trends, technology direction, pricing, and lead time trends;
- Analyze “make or buy” / outsourcing decisions and manage implementations;
- Works on Capital purchases;
- Support Execution of Global Procurement Strategy, provide site volume analysis when required;
-Participate in cross-functional teams with a broad scope, including the sourcing and purchase of commodities critical to company objectives;
- Manage Procurement Process for Assigned Areas or Accounts;
- Direct the activities of the buyers and develop team goals to support site objectives, identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the team;
- Maintain effective relationships with customers and suppliers, ensure customer satisfaction, understand core customer needs and align the team to perform accordingly and consistently.
- Performance assessment, training plan, career development of team members, succession planning;
- Deploy Site Values, promote and support a culture of excellence and benchmarking.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics/Mechanical Engineering or International Trade;
- Good understanding of electronics manufacturing process flow;
- Good understanding of financial knowledge and logistics process for EPZ;
- 6+ years experience in purchasing plus 2+ years people management in MNC;
- Knowledge of SAP will be an advantage;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English/Chinese.
