Part 1. Describe the Position

Summary:

Responsible for all friction commodities for brake pad business

A) List the essential functions and major activities in order of their importance.
1. Develop & implement commodity sourcing strategy to meet business requirement in terms of cost, quality and delivery and service.
2. Localize the friction material for Wuxi as well as the opportunity for EU plants
3. Lead development of capable supply base
4. Good collaboration with EU to have good alignment of direction and accelerate the scouting process.
5. Negotiate contract agreements
6. Monitor supplier performance and drive continues improvement
7. Pursue total cost ownership (TCO) reduction
8. Capable of providing any other tasks or support as requested by supervisor
9. Complete other tasks assigned by immediate supervisor

Part 2. Describe the Person
1. Bachelor or equivalent degree and major: chemical engineering
2. 10+ years experiences in purchasing, sourcing or supply chain management at multinational company, over 3 year management experience
3. Strong sense of responsibility, team work style and able to work independently
4. Customer oriented
5. Experienced at matrix organization
6. Good oral English and computer skills
    

    Preferred:
Excel skills, Familiar with SAP, localization experience in multination company, Effective interpersonal skills to work with others, working in power, medical, chemical, friction industry is preferred
