Responsible:

1. To learn and understand the current OSRAM OS’ CIM implementation and acquire the capability to pro-actively translate and share these capabilities to operation personnel to simplify and/or optimize manufacturing processes

2. Observe, analyze, optimize, simplify and design the CIM implementation for OSRAM OS’s front-end and back-end facilities in Penang that fits into OSRAM OS’ CIM Framework.

3. Author design specifications and/or functional specifications for new/existing CIM modules and/or solutions and liaise with programmers to realize the desired system capabilities.

4. Design test cases and test scenarios and perform black box testing for applications developed by programmers.

5. Perform equipment characterization / testing for fulfillment of GEM Compliance by equipment vendors and closely work with them to achieve the expected GEM Compliance level for equipments procured for OSRAM OS.

6. Provide 2nd level support and resolution for CIM (EI & MES) related issues.

7. Participate in OSRAM Excellence activities like Productivity Improvement, Lean, KAIZEN, PET and similar activities and provide manufacturing process optimization solution.

8. Lead, train and guide CIM shift technicians on best practices and optimize the support structure.

9. Schedule and conduct periodical user training to engineering, operational and production personnel.

Requirements:

1.Bachelor's Degree/Masters Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent

2. Experienced and knowledgeable in SEMI Standards, namely E-004 (SECS-I), E-005 (SECS-II), E-010 (RAM), E-030(GEM), E-037 (HSMS)

3. Additional knowledge on SEMI Standards E-081 (CIM Framework), E-142 Substrate Mapping will be advantageous but not a pre-requisite.

4. Familiarity with common CIM components such as SPC, RMS, R2R, and FDC are highly desired.

5. Familiarity with any SECS/GEM characterization tools such as FASTsim, openSIM Pro, SEC SIM Pro or tools of similar nature is mandatory.

6. Proficient in web technologies such as C#, VB.NET, web services, SOAP and XML.

7. Proficient in database technologies such as MS SQL Server 2005 and above and PL/SQL statements.

8. Good overview and understanding of network communication protocols and interfaces such as TCP/IP, UDP, Modbus and Serial Port variants such as RS-232 and such would be advantageous to the candidate.

9. Familiarity and exposure to any of the MES systems such as FactoryWorks, Fab 300, SiView, Workstream and/or any system of similar nature is highly desired.

10. Completion of at least 3 CIM/EI related project life cycles with at least 1 in a project management/ leadership role and another in a developer role in a semiconductor manufacturing environment mandatory for Specialist/Senior Engineer position.

11. A highly inquisitive nature with an attention to detail, coupled with creativeness & innovativeness are the traits that would help the candidate to excel in this position while being self-driven and a strong team player would bring them places.

12. Good command of the English language and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of people is desirable.

13. Outstanding Fresh Graduates from reputed public universities will also be considered for junior position.
