324929Techinical Marketing Specialist- Chemical Industry
Sandvik Materials Technology, a world-leading manufacturer of high value-added products in advanced materials, special alloys, metallic and ceramic resistance materials. The product areas comprise Tube, Strip, Primary Products, Wire and Heating Technology. In 2012 sales were about SEK 15,400 M with 7,300 employees.
The position would directly report to Technical & Development Manager- Tube Customized Products, below please refer to the job description:


Key performance areas:
? To develop and continuously maintain a deep understanding of our tube products, the applications and processes in our customers’ and the benefits of our tubular segments products against competition.
? Develop product applications in close co-operation with SU´s, customers and qualified prospects.
? To Maintain and develop the relationship with key customer.
? Closely work with technical people in refinery/petrochemical, chemical plant, engineering company, familiar with their equipment related to Sandvik products. Find out their maintenance schedule, using VBS tools to persuade customer to choose our grade or upgrade to our grade.
? Deep understanding of wet corrosion and material selection in refineries, petrochemical plant.
? Participate in technical exhibitions/conference& seminars, and support key customer events (e.g. accompany customers to PU’s, etc.).
? Collect & develop product ideas coming in from the market, be alert to new business opportunities and also new product introductions from R&D.
? To assist local market sales strategy making and review (both short term and long term) on applications and competition.
? Be the link between China SU´s and marketing, R&D and production at PU. To be a resource for Customer Problem Solving technical support before the R&D or global technical support function needs to get involved.
? Be the local or regional representative for the global technical forums.
? Support and participate various marketing communication activities.
? Be responsible to compose technical articles.
? Be the representatives for the registered associations, forums.
? Other tasks may be assigned by the manager.

Your profile:
? Master's degree in Material Science, preferably metallurgy, specialized in stainless steel related.
? Min. 3 years working experience.
? Work experience in metallurgy industry is must.
? Experience working with Sales, technical support gives a plus.
? Dealing with stainless products or applications is preferred..
? Must be computer literate and have good communication, interpersonal, analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.
? Should be enthusiasm, initiative, right attitude and a good team player.
? Must be able to communicate in English, both verbal and writing.
? Be good at making presentations to group, running discussions, dialogues & communication effectively.
As a person you are proactive, self-motivated and one with lot of initiative, courage and integrity and a business minded, result oriented attitude. You also have strong communication skills and can work in an English environment.
