Sandvik in Wuxi is seeking for an EHS Officer.

Sandvik Mining, a leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining industry. The offering covers rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading and hauling and materials handling. In 2012 sales amounted to about 37,800 MSEK, with approximately 14,000 employees.

Below please refer to the job description:

Key performance areas:
· Adhere to all Sandvik HS&E policies and procedures;
· Compile reports including monthly and annual to meet business unit requirements;
· Maintain ISO14001&OHSAS18001 system implementation. Update related procedures periodically, held internal and external audit;
· Work permit management, e.g. hot work, work at height etc;
· Support on solid waste treatment, include hazardous waste; special equipments management, e.g. forklift, pressure vessel etc; medical exam management; monitoring of gas emission, air quality in workplace etc. Ensure comply with legal requirements;
· Support on fire fighting equipments management (fire hydrant, fire extinguisher, emergency lights etc);
· Support on waste water treatment system, saving water, meet discharge standard;
· Provide EHS training, e.g. orientation EHS training, PPE training, chemical safety training, contractors safety training. And also external EHS related training. Improve the EHS awareness of employees;
· Chemicals management, prepare for and update MSDS, chemical safety label;
· Support on investigate accident and incident when happen, find the root cause and recommend corrective action;
· Tours plant to make EHS inspection, to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure the compliance with pertinent safety rule and regulations;
· Held EHS quarter meeting, introduce EHS regulation to department EHS coordinators

Your profile:
· Bachelor or Master’s degree in major of Engineering or related;
· Above 3 years experience in similar position is required;
· Good communication skills and the ability to work well with people is essential;
· Good leadership skills are beneficial;
· Strong problem solving skill;
· Good PC skills;
· Fluent in English;
· Safety focused;
· Autonomous;
· Work team oriented;
· Proactive;
· High capacity of work and high availability;
· Rigorous;
