Position : Senior Procurement Manager (Mechanicals)

Location : Shenzhen

The position reports to global Purchasing Director with dotted line reporting to Director of Mechanics and Materials and Team Lead - R&D.

Roles and responsibilities:

1. Sourcing of various mechanical components (plastic injection moulding, plastic extrusions, aluminum die castings, stampings etc.
2. Vendor Audit
3. Supplier Development and Relationship Management
4. Support for New Product Introduction process
5. Tooling Management (including tool maintenance)
6. First Article Inspection and Failure Analysis with manufacturers
7. Regular Quality Audits
8. Cost reduction

Requirements :

1. Engineering Degree (Electronics/Mechanical/Materials/Manufacturing etc) with at least 10 years of relevant experience
2. Knowledge of Production processes (Plastic and aluminum extrusion, Aluminum die casting, metal stamping, Ferrite Cores etc)
3. Production QA experience
4. Ability to travel extensively and spend time at vendors' facilities
5. Ability to work independently and remotely. Candidates should be willing to work from Home Office.
6. Experience of working in MNC environment
7. Willing to travel abroad as and when required
8. Excellent communication skills. Fluency in Mandarin and English.
