Job description
With our new production site Plant II coming into operations in November of this year we are looking for a Plant Manager with strong competence in manufacturing, responsible for all plant operations. The ideal candidate shall be business minded and focussed on customers satisfaction, have strong leadership skills with a mind-set of continuous improvements combined with an ability to identify opportunities and have them realized in actions.
You will report to the General Manager of Atlas Copco Wuxi.

Mission
You are the Manufacturing Manager for the product company, assembly of small industrial air compressors, portable compressors and generators on customer demand and as Plant Manager you are responsible for the full operations, from sourcing, quality, planning and production, customer logistics and assembly/ packaging for delivery.
Short reliable delivery times are key to our success. Consequently, our manufacturing operations rely on modern and advanced lean manufacturing principles.
You will contribute to the growth of the company by further developing & implementing the Manufacturing Strategy supported with the vision of "First in mind, First in choice" leading to delighted customers. Transparent effective high qualitative communication to the customers is a key deliverable in this respect.
You will fully embrace the "Safety First" vision and culture and continue to improve the performance of the product company.
It will be part of your mission to establish highest level of utilization and agility in the product company in order to meet our customers demand.
You will safeguard the competitiveness of the product company by ensuring that divisional targets in terms of delivery reliability in combination with short lead times, quality, optimal operational cost-effectiveness and logistical targets are continuously met. You will continue to optimize the inbound and outbound logistics.
"Bench marking"and "best practice" are important tools to use.
"Do it right the first time" will be your mission in relation to quality.

Experience requirements
You have a broad managerial experience in a manufacturing environment or equal through experience.
You have proven track record from manufacturing, preferable with solid knowledge and experience from implementation of lean or flow oriented manufacturing. Internationals experience is a benefit but not a must. Experience of Integrated Management Systems and/or Quality systems is meriting.

Knowledge/Educational requirements
You hold an university Engineering degree.
You have good communication skills both oral and written in Mandarin and fluency in English is a must.

Dynamic person with strong entrepreneurial and leadership skills, pro-active, able to empower the team members and to create trustworthy and fair relations.
Result oriented leadership, strong people-, communications-and project management skills, technical capability and strong organizational skills are some of your key characteristics.
