职位描述
Proposal Engineer
This position is responsible for proposals and supporting activities for our customers.
- to make project pre-studies from customer specification: definition of the frame of the unit and the scope, calculation of the budget price and delivery time
- to issue the proposal with technical description of the equipment, transfer price and delivery time
- to develop, maintain and continuously improve a clear technical proposal structure
- to develop and maintain a cost database
- analyze post-calculation of orders, compare with pre-calculation to improve continuously the cost database
- to develop, update and maintain as necessary supporting documents for proposals, such as covering letters, product descriptions, commercial terms and technical datasheets
- analyze the customer application and propose as much as possible standard product solutions fitting this application
- work together with mechanical designer for proposal drawing making,
- work together with Engineering colleagues to define the technically most optimal solution
- work with Purchase to get cost estimation and delivery time of non-standard components
- work with Production to discuss delivery time of orders.
- support the sales team in the Customer Center in the sales process. Visits to possible customers to support the sales people are not regular but might be exceptionally required.
- inform operational teams on the Proposals on hand
- at order, organize the Kick-off meeting to transfer the order to the operational teams.
Experience requirements
The successful candidate should have experience in understanding and defining customer needs.
Experience in design and manufacturing of special solutions
Experience in product marketing
Experience of working within an international matrix - organization and adapt easily to different cultures
Knowledge
Knowledge of CNG compressors and related accessories additional knowledge of CNG station layout will be a plus.
Understanding and interest in customer applications
Capability to understand competition and product positioning
Analytical problem solving skills
Ability to question the way we do things in order to find a better way.
Educational requirements
Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Chinese (Mandarin) and spoken and written English
Personality requirements
High level of drive and an open-minded personality
Customer oriented attitude
Business and result oriented attitude
