Position Title: Senior Systems Administrator
Organization: ITT Corporate IT Infrastructure
Location: Wuxi, China
Reports To: Director, Global Data Center Services

Position Purpose:
Under the direction of the Global Data Center Services Director, this individual provides support of hosted data center services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to providing support for all Windows, Linux and Unix machines as well as support for related networking services.

In this role, a successful candidate will be able to manage systems and storage dedicated to hosting of systems, data and related technologies around the world. Additionally, this person will need to be familiar with networking technologies and concepts in order to administer networking equipment as well as manage relationships with China telecommunications vendors. This role will be a contributor to the oversight and optimization of our overall data center service model. As a representative of the ITT Corporate Infrastructure Services Team, you will collaborate with our business partners to interpret their needs and design/deliver solutions to meet the business unit’s objectives.

Lastly, as part of the responsibilities of this role, this person will be involved in a wide variety of projects requiring expertise relating to many subject matter areas within the Infrastructure Services department. These projects may require the employee to assess, analyze and investigate business requirements, pre-existing infrastructure and services as well as act as a liaison to other infrastructure teams within the global Infrastructure Services department.

Minimum Requirements:
- College Degree in computer science, information sciences or related field and 5-7 years of experience; or 7-10 years relevant experience.
- Exceptional knowledge of Wintel computer hardware & operating system(s)(Windows 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016)
- Experience with enterprise storage solutions is required.
- Experience with enterprise backup disk based solutions is required.
- Experience managing virtualized environments (Hyper-V, VMware) is required
- Experience with Microsoft SCCM & SCOM is required.
- Experience in using advanced scripting skills (PowerShell); knowledge of automation and monitoring tools is preferred.
- Experience administering Cisco LAN and Cisco wireless networks is required
- Experience managing relationships with telecommunications vendors (Internet, voice, mobile) is required
- Experience with RedHat Linux is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure is a plus.

Major Responsibilities:
- Analysis, planning, sequencing of technical work and execution of team objectives for local and global data center(s).
- Plan and execute wintel hardware upgrades for local and global data center(s).
- Maintains and provides Wintel network technical support and configuration for TCP/IP protocols.
- Provides on going direction and technical support for the Wintel environments globally to assure cost effective computer operation.
- Evaluates, recommends, and implements the change, upgrade, or removal of current hardware or software systems.
- Works with appropriate business partners to evaluate, recommend, and implement the acquisition of new hardware or software as required.
- Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, and makes recommendations.
- Provides assistance as required to organizations outside of the enterprise to improve internal procedures that may be advantageous to the enterprise.
- Ensures security standards are being met, and takes appropriate steps when deficiencies are uncovered.
- Assists in DR design and exercise planning as requested.
- Remediates incident and services requests.
- Drafts operational documentation as required.
- Provide support for the following applications & hardware globally:
o Microsoft System Center 2012/2016
? Configuration Manager ,Virtual Machine Manager, Operations Manager, Data Protection Manager, Orchestrator, Service Manager
o Virtualization: Primarily Hyper-V 2012/2016, VMWare 4.0 VCenter
o Storage: HP 3PAR, Dell Compellent, HP StoreOnce
o HP Blades and Chassis, Dell Servers
- Excellent working knowledge of Windows AD, DNS, HTTP/S, SSH, LDAP, PXE, DHCP, TFTP, RDP, and Telnet
- Expectations of the role include but are not limited to:
o Implement and manage large scale backup storage systems and infrastructure.
o Build and configure Windows based virtual and physical (where required) servers.
o Maintain continuous availability of the environment and contribute to improvement practices.
o Perform infrastructure troubleshooting, resolve issues, and document solutions.
o Make configuration changes to keep the infrastructure secure and reliable.
o Develop automation for routine processes.
o Participate in data protection discussions with business users, provide input and make recommendations on solutions to support internal users.
o Provision Cisco LAN and Cisco wireless networks
o Troubleshoot LAN and wireless issues
o Manage networking vendor(s) circuit/service inventory
o Troubleshoot telecom outage service issues (Internet lines, voice lines)
o Contact telecom carriers as needed to report circuit issues and work with the necessary parties to remediate / escalate as needed.
o Be a team player and participate in an on-call rotation.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by Director, Global Data Center

Work Conditions
- Additional working hours as required.
- Carry an ITT assigned phone (employee chosen) 24x7 and be available for escalations as needed.
- Sitting for extended periods of time.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components.
- Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
- Travel to the United States for the purposes of training and special projects.
- Travel from 10-15% within China and/or less than 5-10% travel within the APAC region may be required at times.
