Position : Head of Human Resources
Job Code : HR/CN/1111
Location : Chengdu, Tianjin, Wuxi
Responsibilities :
As the overall functional leader for HR for Shanghai manufacturing operations, the selected candidate will report to the Head of Operations and will be responsible for :
a. HR Strategy & Systems : Work closely with top management to establish human resources policies and strategies; plan, implement and coordinate with line managers and business partners in the design and implementation of HR Systems, covering, among others, recruitment, retention, succession and career planning, performance appraisal, and training & development.
b. Recruitment and Selection : Manpower analysis, planning and budgeting in accordance with business needs; set up and manage systems and processes to identify technical and managerial talent; work closely with line managers and external recruiters; develop, implement and facilitate orientation and induction programs for all new employees;
c. Training and Organization Development : Define organization development needs, training and management development needs, draw up succession and career development plans for potential management; design appropriate organizational career development programs and counseling; conduct periodic staff development needs analysis & employee surveys for management's review; advise the management for necessary improvement and/or organizational change; organize and coordinate training courses to be held in Malaysia and/or overseas.
d. Compensation & Benefits : Develop, maintain and implement a competitive and equitable compensation and benefits structure and system; conduct periodic employee compensation & benefits surveys to ensure the compensation scales are competitive; administer an equitable benefits scheme, monitor claims, insurance coverage and other benefits.
e. Human Resources Services : Provide corporate human resources advisory and consultation for line managers and staff on human resources practices; manage and lead HR team members to execute operational human resources activities and services; monitor and maintain an organized personnel information system, and payroll records; and organize activities to promote morale, integration and sense of belonging.
Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree, preferably with specialization in Human Resources, from a premier institution
- At least 15 years of experience in HR function in large-scale manufacturing sector of which at least 3 years should be in a leadership role. Exposure to high volume Electronics Manufacturing industry preferred.
- Knowledge of HR processes, laws and regulations in China
Experience in dealing with issues related to industrial relations and labour laws
- Strong combination of strategic and operational HR experience
- Exposure to working in rapid growth, multi-site companies
- Experience in redesigning/streamlining existing HR processes to align with business strategy would be ideal
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. Fluency in English and Chinese.
- Strong leadership, mentoring and training skills
