？ Program Description

Selected candidates enter into the Leadership & Technical Development Program (LTDP) – Product Development track. The purpose of the LTDP-PD is to build the technical and professional foundation for future leaders within Caterpillar’s engineering community through demanding rotational assignments, a formal learning curriculum, professional development opportunities, and mentoring. This one-year, multi-assignment program has 4 rotations in design, analysis, simulation, testing and cross-functional area in manufacturing, operations, marketing or purchasing. The rotations are designed to expedite the development of new employees through cross-functional positions and levels of management, providing an opportunity for engineering professionals to work in a high-performance team-based engineering environment.

？ Candidate Qualifications

New LTDP-PD trainees can be fresh college graduates or early career Caterpillar employees.

Qualifications include:

? Masters or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Internal combustion engine, Engine, thermal energy and power engineering or other Engineering field.

? Strong interest and passion for leadership and technology

? Effective communications, including verbal and written English skills

? Strong interpersonal skills; Demonstrated teamwork

? Willingness and ability to relocate during the program

? College graduates within 3-years of most recent graduation date; Minimum university average score: 80 on 100 scale (or) grade point average: 2.8 on 4.0 scale
