Basic requirements:
--Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing or Engineering
--10+ years’ experience in marketing (may include product management, category management or brand management).
--Ability to lead a team of professional staff to accomplish business objectives.
--Ability to work with and influence others cross-functionally in the organization.
--Demonstrates excellent communication and presentation skills.
--Able to interpret data and draw conclusions.
--Excellent organizational skills.
--Responsive to customer needs.
--Comfortable working in a global matrix marketing organization.
--Competent technical aptitude due to significant work with engineering.
--Must be able to lead cross functional teams and drive projects to closure.
--Strong project management, organizational skills and research skills.
--Analytical capabilities, including the use of commonly used marketing frameworks to breakdown and solve problems.
--Proficient in operating Windows and associated Microsoft Office applications, including: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
--Must be able to thrive in a team environment and have the ability to quickly build rapport and influence peers.
--Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, must speak and write English.
--Ability to multi-task, deal with ambiguity and work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
--Identify, prepare and execute plans that will drive organic growth globally for the PRF filtration lines focusing on the capture of market share in addition to growing the overall filtration market.
--Performs consumer-focused market research and RAPID growth projects to develop overall go-to-market plan to identify new products and services for market opportunities consistent with corporate capabilities and objectives.
--Analyze the market and industry trends, analyze competitive strengths and weaknesses, voice-of-the-customer, and customer retention and attrition.
--Conducts voice of the customer (VOC) activities to identify new growth opportunities.
--Drives growth by achieving lead generation targets for sales and business development.
--Develop strategic product roadmaps to drive the new product development funnel.
--Lead the product planning council to evaluate new product development requests, quotation requests and make recommendations on engineering and product management resource allocation for projects.
--Set customer pricing based on market price, market conditions, and margin.
--Create reports and models based on competitive market prices and maintain accurate and current files on all competitive products. Make recommendations on any potential pricing revisions.
--Is a champion for the new product development process and lead teams involved in the execution of these projects. This will include working closely with operations, engineering and sourcing teams located in multiple global locations.
--Work with the operations team in identifying stocking levels and production plans. This will include communicating with the operations group of market trends and sales forecasts for both new and legacy products.
--Assist / train sales staff and customers with product portfolio knowledge.
--Become involved with the development of product literature, price lists, marketing training programs and presentations, promotional material and packaging for multiple channels at Pentair Water Purification.
--Develop a solid working knowledge of the customers, products, and competitors so products can be marketed and priced appropriately.
--Develop and analyze sales reports from internal sources in order to identify key issues, trends, and opportunities. Become proficient in Pentair’s ERP systems and all pertinent reporting software packages to compile date needed for the necessary analysis.
--Daily support of projects revolving around the application, product, and engineering support functions for both continuous business operations as well as new business opportunities.
--Be the key point of contact between marketing/sales and operations/engineering for China and ROA.
--Travels domestically and/or internationally approximately 20% of the time to trade shows, customer meetings, suppliers and strategic partners, etc. as required.
--Other jobs assigned by immediate manager.
