Essential Duties and Responsibilities;Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Supervises employees in Finishing and Final Configuration departments.
Understands finishing lines and process. Assists employees as needed.
Assists in planning produ ion schedules and establishing priorities for manufacturing process.
Prepares schedules and assists in coordination of manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
Maintains production and quality control standards in departments.
Reports production and operational problems to maintenance to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational pe 'ormance and optimum utilization. Provides gUidance to the development of the manufacturing process planincluding personnel
requirementsmaterial needssubcontract requirementsfacility needs and tooling and equipment needs.
Coordinates manufacturing activities within the department to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources 1achines and equipment.
Performs administrative activities associated with effective management of department operations including compiling storing and retrieving production data for reports.
Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company government and customer policiesprocedures and regulations.
Reviews and approves employee time and attendance.
Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to General Manager for action.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises and manages shift workers of the Finishing and Final Configuration departments. Is responsible for the overall direetion coordination and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisorγresponsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing hiringand training employees; planning,assigning,and directing work; appraising performance;
rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Exoerience:
Associates Degree (A.A.) or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rulesoperating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MathematicalSkills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts,interest,commissions,proportions ,percentages,area,circumference,and volume.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instruetions furnished in writtenoral diagram or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully,an individual should have knowledge of MS Word and Excel software.
