Job Responsibilities:

- Commodity Strategy:

· Conduct periodic commodity strategy reviews

· Identify and evaluate potential new and viable suppliers to company

· Work collaboratively with Core PD, Regional pursuit team and regional commodity team to provide costed BOM, and input to Quote team, and with objectives to win more business for company;

- Sourcing Selection :

· Conduct supplier benchmarking exercise and commercial analysis

· Send RFQ's to preferred suppliers based on Commodity Strategy

· Conduct analysis on supplier quotes based on pricing, quality, delivery and commercial ratings

· Visit and assess potential suppliers

· Negotiate and issue sourcing contract with the suppliers

- Supplier Base Relationship Management and Productivity Negotiations

· Negotiate annual price reductions with the supply base to support company's materials budget

· Conduct supplier business reviews and manage supplier relationships effectively

· Support internal team to drive execution of TQCM initiatives provided by suppliers

· Negotiate Payment Terms improvement, Disputed Obsolescence Costs, Charge Back and so on

- Commodity Team Management

· Manage and coordinate commodity team activities including regional commodity buyers, PD, SPE and others.

· Joint Venture commodity alignment



Qualification Requirements:

- Bachelor or above degree in technical/commercial relevant field or equivalent job experience.

- 10+ years of experience in automotive industry, functional of commodity/program purchasing, supply management and procurement

- Prefer 3+years of people managing experience

- Strong leadership capability, team work and result focus oriented

- Sound knowledge in the Automotive commodities, prefer experience in Electronics Components and Mechanism Components, such as PWB.

- Leadership experience in sourcing / procurement including strong managerial and leadership skills to work across all functions, regions and levels of an organization; strong ability to deal with ambiguity, ability to influence and lead change; and ability to role model high performance standards.

- Must have the executive presence to be able to interact directly with the senior leadership team at global organization, as well as with various functional teams and other stakeholders in the process.

- Execution skills including persistent drive for results, utilizing sound project management, organizational and problem solving skills.

- Strong cultural savvy, with experience in managing diverse cultures.

- Fluent in business English, and good presentation and writing skills
