General Purpose of the Position

Provide technical support related to material selection, and failure mode analysis for new and existing product designs.

Responsibilities

Support the development of product design concepts/solutions that meet customer/Delphi/Industry requirements/standards.
Understand and follow Delphi's Divisional Engineering Procedures, as well as CTC site procedures.
Specify correct material that will meet product design requirements.
Participate in Project Team activities including design review meetings.
Summarize material analysis results and provide written test report outlining potential design improvements and/or solutions.
Identify China National Material Standards that correlate to global/regional material standards
Review drawings to ensure correct material specifications are identified.
Specify, develop, and qualify laboratory equipment.
Ensure that laboratory equipment is set up and properly maintained.
Develop and update CTC material analysis procedures and local Work Instructions.
Test Laboratory environment, equipment and work standards follow health and safety standards.

Position Preference (minimum)
Education:
Master's Degree in Materials Engineering

Experience/Special Skills:
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent language skills in oral and written English and Mandarin
At least 2 years experience in Material Lab for product development.
Self-motivated, hard working, countable, good team player.
