Position Overview
The Procurement Analyst is a key position within our top tier procurement organization. It focuses on strategy and analysis as it relates to the procurement of chemical raw materials, indirects, and logistics services. This position is part of the Asia Procurement Team which supports approximately $600 million in spend. The role has organizational visibility and is a highly interactive one, partnering with other Analysts, Commodity Managers, and Procurement Leadership. Over time, Procurement Analysts become specialists in their market area, and play an important role in strategy development, major supplier negotiations and decision making processes. They may also take on sourcing responsibilities as part of the role, enabling them to build valuable commercial skills.

Job Responsibilities
1) Lead and provide insightful market analysis, interpretation, of raw materials, indirect commodities or logistics services
2) Provide strategic analysis and information for development of short term and long term strategies for regional and global procurement.
3) Track key procurement performance metrics.
4) Prepare for and participate in major supplier negotiations.
5) Analyze commercial opportunities.
6) Globally and regionally communicate and report up to and including senior company leadership.

Minimum Qualifications
Quick learner, strong passion to grow the career.
Must be proficient in statistical analysis and possess advanced analytical, logic and critical thinking skills. Must demonstrate experience or ability to think strategically, and understand commercial situations.
Must possess a general knowledge of:
1. Financial concepts such as cash flow, net income, EBITDA, variable and fixed costs.
2. Marketing concepts such as supply/demand and pricing.
3. General understanding of the sourcing process.
A basic understanding of contracts and the ability to read legal language is required. Should have strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast paced, international, multicultural environment.
Must have strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Education Requirements
Masters degree in Business, Logistics, Finance, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering required
Or Bachelor’s degree with equivalent relevant experience.
  
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with quality and ERP tools (specifically SAP, and SAP Business Warehouse) preferred.
International business experience and knowledge of supply chain management a plus. 举报 分享
