POSITION SUMMARY
Purpose:
This role is responsible for achieving annual revenue and profit targets, gaining market share position and product promotion. The individual is responsible for customer relationship management and key account strategy for major Semiconductor and Display customers. The role will execute the Business strategy at each key account and ensure account financial performance is achieved. The position will be responsible to effectively grow China business sales.
Nature and Scope:
The position will be located in Shanghai, China (or other China office location) and will report directly to the China Commercial Manager. The individual will manage all sales activities, including; pre- and post-sales support, customers RFQs and quotations, technical support and price / contract execution. The individual will also support inventory management at customer site and quality or technical data requests.
In addition to primary sales activities, this role will be critical to foster customer relationships, increase customer satisfaction and reduce customer complaints. The individual will be required to develop excellent customer relationships throughout all levels of the organization.
The position will effectively manage both existing business and new product introductions. The role is also expected to gather market and competitive intelligence.
The role will need to work closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Quality, Operations and other Functions across the Versum Materials organization.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Develop and execute account plans that drive profitable growth
2. Drive effective pricing negotiations and contract management (monitor and improve account profitability)
3. Win new product introductions and effectively grow existing business positions
4. Manage all pre-sales, sales and post-sales activities
5. Demonstrate deep understanding of customer business and technology
6. Develop excellent customer relationships at all levels of the customer organization including purchasing, facilities, quality and other department managers
7. Gather market and competitive intelligence, technology trends and other key information to drive enhanced performance
8. Work closely with Marketing and Other Functions to utilize all Versum capabilities for sales activities
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor degree (BS) in engineering or science is required for the position. An MBA would be plus.
2. Minimum of 5-10 years of Commercial work experiences. Direct experience in Electronic Gases / Materials or Semiconductor Industry is preferred
3. Strong English language skills; both written and spoken
4. Work independently and demonstrate an ability to operate across multiple areas (Sales, Supply Chain, Sourcing)
5. The incumbent should have a lengthy and proven track record of building external relationship, such as with customers, government affiliates and/or partners
6. Result-oriented with a demonstrated ability to exceed targets / goals and take ownership for performance
