Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

JOB DUTIES:
From the outset, incumbent will be expected to be a contributing performer, doing staff level accounting work that supports business processes. Additionally, this position will:
- gain an understanding of Caterpillar’s business and accounting practices, systems and procedures;
- learn and develop skills which result from the practical application of basic accounting knowledge, and
- provide assistance to a project team or others in the work group.
Accountants will be exposed to a variety of accounting functions and will accomplish a high level of compilation and basic analysis work, reviewing clerical input and generating reports. The accountant identifies relevant data and data sources, gathers and analyzes the information, and provides

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent combination of experience and formal education
* Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
* Quick adaptability to change
* CPA or equivalent is preferred (e.g., Chartered Accountant)
* SAP knowledge preferred

Key Competencies:
* Solid knowledge and experience in GL processes and understanding the interdependencies with other finance processes.
* Ability to obtain and summarize information to support leaders in making financially sound business decisions
* Ability to produce reliable data, accurate analyses and on time to support business goals and objectives
* Ability to accomplish tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to gather information and accurately identify the causes of problems in work processes
* Excellent communication skills (English, written and spoken)
