ACTIVITIES
Product development:
- New product development to meet market needs (market driven project) and customer needs (customer driven project) driving to achieve target growth timely manner.
- Create internal working network to fully leverage other regional technical lab expertise.
- Carry out Flexible formulation through raw material localization (with local raw materials) in order to maximize product margin and strengthen competitive advantage in Asia Pacific. This strength should be also considered to use for other regions.
- Understand competitive products advantage and disadvantage and leverage the learning for product development to enhance our product development expertise.
- Open to outside external collaboration with Universities, Niche & unique companies, or analytical companies for advance technology development to add high value on our products.

Technical support:
- Provide technical support to internal customers for business growth.
- Maintain regular contact with internal customers or external companies to ensure continuous feedback about quality improvement on products.
- Respond in-time to customer complaints, so that customer complaints are resolved with customers’ satisfaction.
- Provide technical training for internal customers for quality or performance improvement.

Others
Provide technical support for some sudden & urgent tasks from direct reporting line.
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
- The position works in technical lab environment but requires domestic/international travel.
- Keep close customer contact to support sales team on business development, through customer visit, trial, etc…
- Frequent communication with global R&D centre to translate and localize the related product technology.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Ensure activities of the team members in compliance with EHS and operational requirements.
- Manage and implement product development projects on time to customers to meet Sales and MVC target.
- Provides professional technical supports to internal and external customers to fulfil market/customer needs and solve problems.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Ph.D. degree of polymer science or engineering with 3 years or Master degree with 5 years minimum work experience in R&D lab.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Good oral and written skills in both English and Chinese.
- Results-oriented.
- Aggressive at the same time can work as a good team player.
- Initiative and open-minded.
