Our client is a premier global specialty chemicals company with annual sales at approximately USD1.5 billion.They are the resins and additives supplier of construction, industrial, defense, automotive, special purpose coatings and inks etc.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
1) Provide formulation development and technical solutions to customers in area of responsibilities (priority is OEM segment).
2) Work closely with Sales Mgr & TS&D Mgr to identify technical problems and locate solutions.
3) Work with Sales and Marketing to identify high value projects and commit to bringing results to such prioritization.
4) Work with lab colleagues within Asia and in other world areas to bring new potential technologies and products into Asia.
5) Ensure professionalism in dealing with customers in order to gain trust and respect from them.
6) Manage a lab operation safely and ensure “right” projects are being worked on within budgeted resources according to prioritization by TS&D /Sales/Marketing & procedure defined by the company.
7) Work with lab Mgr to maintain HS&E compliance requirements through liaison with the internal & local authorities and other administrational part if required.
Education
University degree in a natural science discipline, or above
Experience
1) At least 5 years’ working experience, of which significant part in a TS/R&D role, preferably from a coatings company.
2) Experience in Liquid resins & additives & paint formulation desired.
Specific Skills
1) Demonstrated track record of communicating well with customers on technical issues.
2) Good track record in handling lab work and projects.
Problem Solving & Other Pre-requisites.
1) Good problem solving skills.
2) Open mind & willing to learn new things & concepts.
3) Able to work under pressure.
4) Easy of communication at all levels.
5) Good planning skills.
