Job Descriptions
Within　this　Project　Services　Team,　the　Planning　Engineer　will　report　to　the　Team　Leader　for　Planning　Engineering　and　will　be　responsible　for　delivering　planning　&　scheduling　efforts　as　directed.
1.HSSE　target　Goal　Zero;
2.Planning　support　to　the　Project　Manager　and　Project　Services　Lead,　progress　reporting,　independent　progress　verifications　checks　of　performance　of　work　as　well　as　capturing　project　risks　impacts　in　the　project　schedule　
3.Deliver　consistent　and　realistic　plans　and　control　structures　for　each　prospect/project　in　the　portfolio　and　manage　the　team　workload　
4.Liaise　with　and　challenge　senior　project　engineering　personnel　to　ensure　proper　understanding　of　the　key　schedule　sensitivities,　milestones　and　drivers　
5.Contribute　to　the　development　of　the　projects　Risk　profiles　and　translate　these　into　the　plans　using　deterministic　and　probabilistic　analysis　methods,　as　appropriate　
6.Identification　of　alternate　approaches　to　optimize　the　plan(s)　
7.Develop　and　maintain　the　integrated　master　project　schedule/plan　
8.Assist　in　Peer　reviews　
9.Incorporate　ranges　of　uncertainty　to　manage　project　plans
10.Implement　the　emerging　Shell　standard　tools　and　processes　across　all　prospects/projects　adapting　the　standards　to　suit　the　ORP　stage　
11.Prepare　detailed　monthly　schedule　reports　and　analysis,　including　reporting　and　analyzing　VOWD　progress　to　Project　Lead　
12.Support　for　project　benchmarking　activities　for　the　project　plans　and　resource　plan　
13.Liaise　with　the　project　team　to　monitor　progress,　identify　variances　and　recommend　recovery　actions　
14.Work　closely　with　the　project　team　to　monitor　Management　of　Change　process,　identifying　cost　and/or　schedule　impacts　of　proposed　changes　and　incorporating　those　impacts　into　the　Project　Work　Plan　
15.Perform　and/or　coordinate　ad-hoc　special　(planning/scheduling)　studies　as　required　
16.After　a　brief　training　period　with　the　Shell　tools,　systems　and　procedures　be　self-sufficient　in　the　job　responsibilities　
17.Coach　junior　staff　through　training　in　planning　tools　and　techniques　
18.Upon　completion　of　project,　prepare　detailed　Close-Out　Report　per　the　Process　Guidelines.　This　is　mainly　an　analysis　comparison　report　between　the　various　schedules　produced　for　a　given　project

Job Requirements
1.Must　be　comfortable　for　working　on　construction　site
2.Bachelor’s　Degree　from　an　accredited　university　in　Engineering　or　related　field,　with　not　less　than　ten　(8)　years　experience　in　project　scheduling/planning　in　the　Onshore/Offshore,　Oil　or　Chemical　Design　or　Construction　fields　
3.Experience　directly　related　to　execution　of　complex　engineering　projects　is　essential,　especially　with　International　EPC　projects　
4.If　no　degree　–　minimum　of　fifteen　(15)　years　proven　experience　in　schedule　management　
5.Demonstrated　knowledge　of　project　management　principles,　including　industry　experience　in　cost　engineering　positions　
6.Capable　of　analyzing　and　preparing　monthly　reports　to　express　concerns　in　problem　areas　
7.Experienced　with　network　planning　structures　and　techniques　
8.Experienced　user　of　Primavera　or　Microsoft　Project　
9.Strong　analytical　skills　and　proficiency　with　the　use　of　standard　office　software　such　as　Excel,　MS　Word　and　PowerPoint　
10.Experience　with　Microsoft　Access　　is　an　advantage　
11.Awareness/knowledge　of　Life　Cycle　Probabilistic　Analysis,　Risk　Identification　and　Management,　and　Decision　/Influence　diagram　techniques　will　be　an　advantage　
12.Must　have　a　“Team　Spirit　Attitude”,　be　self-motivated　and　be　willing　to　support　other　groups　and　projects　when　required
