Our client is a leading provider of software for managing risk in the energy, process and maritime industries - offering solutions for design, engineering, strength assessment, risk and reliability, QHSE and asset integrity management. It has almost 300 offices in 100 countries and shares best practices and quality standards throughout the world.

Area Manager

The Area Manager is responsible for market and sales strategies in the Area aligned with Regional market and sales strategies. Further the Area Manager is responsible for all customer processes from pre-sales, through sales and customer services, support and after-sales in the Area.

The Area Manager must have a broad understanding of the company's customers, markets and competitors to provide marketing and sales plans to meet customer needs, market trends and competitiveness.

Main responsibilities
· Responsible for customer processes including sales, customer services and customer support in Greater China
· Profit and loss responsibility for the Areas operations. This includes responsible for meeting the Area sales budget, total revenue budget as well as operational cost and profit.
· Responsible for business development in the Area together with Regional BD
· Responsible for the satisfaction of the Areas customers
· Contribute to marketing, sales and project deliveries
· Develop, implement and follow up annual plans, Key Unit Goals and KPI's for own unit
· Lead people in accordance with company's Expectations to Leaders, policies, procedures and instructions
· Carry out recruitment processes according to plans and guidelines
· Manage Individual Performance including goal-setting, coaching and dialogue, and evaluate/assess the performance of individuals
· Maintain and develop the working environment, physically as well as psychosocially

Qualifications
· Experience from Oil and Gas/Energy, Offshore or Maritime business
· Have a strategic and commercial mindset
· Be customer oriented with experience from sales
· Knowledge about some of risk management Software's products is preferred but not required
· Management/Leadership position
· Have a strong interest in leadership and development of people, and the ability to motivate and lead by way of example
· Possess strong communication skills and networking abilities
· Have a BSc/MSc or equivalent
