Responsibilities:

1, Lead a team of buyers, to manage day to day order processing for assigned plants, responding to procurement needs on a timely basis, managing raw materials inventory level, expediting the procurement cycle and process, and ensuring compliance to the required standards, policy, and / or process

2, Responsibility to minimize inventory levels while maintaining and being mindful of customer requirements through appropriate and considered best practices and cost effective programs

3, Manage a regional supplier base in assigned categories, negotiate regional price and supply agreements with approved sources, drive the implementation of those agreements within the China region to balance cost and risk, and maintain competitive cost and performance advantage

4, Develop and build local supplier network in order to optimize cost and quality compliance for assigned material categories;

5, Build up effective channels in the region to get update market information on feedstock cost, supply demand dynamics and pricing. Monitor competitor move as well as government regulation impact.

Requirements:

1. B.S. in Chemical-related field or materials related field

2. More than 7 years inventory control or procurement/materials management experience in an industrial environment with extensive knowledge/industry insight in chemical raw materials.

3. Ability to handle multi-tasks and deliver results independently with clear priority in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment. Must be detail-oriented, proactive, and team player

4. Must possess strong communications skills, both verbal and written; must be fluent in Mandarin and English, both written and conversational.

5. Excellent interpersonal skills including: listening, coaching, diplomacy, conflict resolution

6. Proficiency with entire MS Office Suite required. Familiarity with the extraction and analysis of SAP data

7. Ability to work effectively with counterparts in North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America

8. China region travel needed
