Responsibilities:
Key Accountabilities:
·BP and distributor profitability: Build a business relationship built on a strong commercial platform that is profitable to both parties
· Distributor Planning:
- to jointly develop a channel and customer based plan to achieve the company's objectives of profitability selling the right product & service offer to the right end customer
- Manage the annual business planning process including committing resources, review, action and interventions.
· Distributor Performance
- Drive channel understanding & transparency though effective use of MI tools to increase market share
- Management of the performance contract metrics based on sell out criteria
· Distributor capability:
- Build capability & transfer knowledge to the Distributor sales team and organization
- Facilitate the training, coaching & motivation of the Distributor team
· Implementing sales and marketing activities: Manage sales and marketing initiatives through Distributors to the end channels & customers
· “Voice of distributor”: As the SPA, lead all engagements with the Distributor partner and represent the voice of the Distributor internally to BP functions
· Local Market Information: Monitoring market trends and competitor activity
Requirements:
· College graduation.
· 2 years experience in sales and marketing in managing the sales channels. The experience in lubes business is a strong plus.
· Strong Commercial & Financial Acumen.
· Business planning skills and how to bring the plan to life through/with the Distributor (marketing, sales & general mgt)
· Functional/Technical excellence (related to product & service offer)
· Territory and customer management – to lead & support the Distributor
· Consulting skills to identify opportunities to increase profitability
· Analysis into activation – using factual data to drive decision making
· Win-Win approach to negotiations – to build a partnership philosophy
· Coaching and leading change through training & development
· Channel understanding & management – to build a channel based sell through approach
· Contract management
· Strategic thinking leading to sound implementation
