Project Overview

The Wheatstone LNG Project is a multi-train Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and domestic gas (DomGas) plant near Onslow Australia. Bechtel is honored to participate in the engineering, procurement, construction, and start-up of this LNG plant. This position will be located at the subcontractor's facility in Tanggu China.

Role Overview
1. Monitors Subcontractor activities in preparation of module shipment via barge to Australia.
2. Ensure compliance with Australian Quarantine Inspection Service (AQIS) requirements and preparation for entry into Australia.
3. Assists field engineers and superintendents in constructability and quality issues.
4. Assuring that proper warehousing and storage exists to ensure environmental protection.
5. Reviews specifications, purchase orders, subcontracts, inspection reports, delivery schedules, instruction manuals and technical data.
6. Administers assigned subcontracts to ensure contract remains up to date in areas such as drawings, specifications, cost and schedule.
7. Coordinates with engineering design on AQIS issues.
8. Supervises subcontractor work efforts and administers routine subcontract changes and interfaces with client personnel. May represent the company in contractual discussions and negotiations.
9. Reviews project controls documents on progress relating to cost and schedule.
10. Works with various functions to ensure the project achieves corporate goals set for environmental, safety & health, quality, cost, and schedule.

Basic Qualifications:
1. Technical knowledge of a specialized engineering discipline, cost, scheduling and/or contracts administration relating to the construction of heavy industrial or commercial complexes.
2. Demonstrated leadership in a team-based environment.
3. Knowledge and understanding of the application and requirements of the Project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) Handbook and the Bechtel Core Processes as they relate to area of responsibility.
4. Familiar with Bechtel's Business Ethics handbook and policies.
5. Prior experience supervising and administering subcontractors.
6. Knowledge of Bechtel's "Zero Accidents" safety program.
7. Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications in accordance with current Bechtel Standard Application Program (BSAP) standards.
8. Knowledge of the use of subcontracts; knowledge of the contractor/ subcontractor's responsibilities contained in subcontract documents.
