Background:


TL Jones Shanghai sits within the Elevator Safety Division of Halma plc. a FTSE 250 company with an annual turnover of GBP517million. Since its entry into China in 1994, TL Jones Shanghai is renowned as world class solution provider of elevator safety, information display, communication and touch control operating panel products. Among which, TL Jones light curtain is considered to be our core business.

Although TL Jones is in the leading position in 1st tier OEM market segment (annual volume over 10K accounts) in China, it has a very low level of presence in 2nd and lower tier market. With this huge market unattended, we are seeking an ambitious talent to penetrate into this market segment with our localized products.






Position Summary:



Full responsible for business development and operation of assigned target accounts in North China, the goal is to increase annual sales revenue from RMB 6 million to 10 million with next 3 years through new business development.



Working with Head of Sales and Marketing, he/she will be the driver for all sales & marketing activity in the region with full ownership of development and implementation of sales strategy.




Role Objectives




1. Grow Sales revenue from RMB 6 million to RMB 10 million in next 3 years.

2. Increase TL Jones' market/customer knowledge.

3. Develop and implement business development/sales strategy and action plans for the region.

4. Penetrating to lower tier OEM accounts.

5. Management of assigned OEM Accounts in the region.

6. High customer visit activity level(min 8 per week expected)




Qualification Requirements:


· Bachelor degree, engineering preferred but not required.

· Minimum 3 years' sales & marketing experience in B2B environment.

· Industrial background, elevator industry experience preferred but not required.

· Fluent English speaking and writing


Position Responsibilities:




· Sales / Business Development responsibilities / activities to include:

o Achieve annual sales budget.

o Maintain & grow existing customer sales.

o Research responsible market for all company product lines

o Develop, agree and implement a customer account strategy/action plan with Head of Sales for the region

o Development & Establish excellent business relationships with key customer targets

o Understand in detail the target accounts structure, products, manufacturing locations / capabilities, key decision makers and decision making process

o Lead product presentations / sales negotiations / tender preparations for supply contract bids to customer accounts.

o Owns & Defines product pricing for the region with Head of Sales and other internal stakeholders

o Drives & Coordinates product launches across customer base.

o Lead and drive customer problem resolution; act as a liaison between our customers engineering/production teams to resolve quality / reliability / delivery issues to meet customer expectations





· Other Sales activities / responsibilities:

o Produce a monthly sales report

o Attend weekly sales conference call

o Attend sales & marketing meetings as required

o Produce accurate monthly rolling forecast

o Account receivable control.




· Responsible and accountable for overall sales performance in their region:

o Year on Year growth

o Annual Revenue Plan (Unit Plan x Average Selling Price)

o Gross Margin
